Our Team

A critical priority for our Firm is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Chief Data Office (CDO) defines AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business, such as client data, reference data, product data, securities and pricing data, transactions and holdings, and index data. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset & Wealth Management Operations division, within AWM Center. We work with the AWM business and Firm wide CDO to analyze data, ensure data governance and data quality standards are in place, look for efficiencies in business processes, and work with our technology partners to implement solutions.

The Wealth Management Business Analyst will be primarily focused on the Party and Account (P&A) Data Domain and will be responsible for documenting current flows, identifying gaps, documenting future state flows, investigating issues raised and will assist in driving related programs.

The BA will collaborate with other project/program managers, business and data analysts, business SMEs, and technology teams to drive projects, ensuring clear priorities and completion of tasks, mitigating risks and overall leading the project to deliver on business benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Strong knowledge of data architectures, ability to understand data flows and implement effective data management techniques (includes Bulk Upload, monitoring/reconciling data feeds from various sources and ensuring smooth transition over into the systems)
  • Using Data Quality tools, build, test, and execute logical business rules for quality based on the requirements as defined by data owners
  • Analyze current product data sources and processes to determine gaps and points for standardization across existing operations teams
  • Partner with AWM Ops Onboarding, Data Management, Client Service and Business Management to complete comprehensive business analysis and assess requirements documentation for new request and/or Data Quality issues
  • Liaise with Technology to ensure the functional design and build requirements meet with submitted business requirements
  • Lead / support various projects - Develop and manage projects, ensure timely quality deliverables and report project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major financial services organization, with data project experience
  • Experience in creating process & data flows and business requirement documentation
  • Background in data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and data quality framework
  • Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like manner and achieve goals without direct control over resources.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes, identifying risks and defining solutions
  • Strong ability to work in uncertain operational environment, while staying organized and driving initiatives forward
  • Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project), process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.) and analytical tools like Alteryx

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly define and deconstruct problems leveraging strong analytical and end-to-end problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills; Able to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on audience; Experienced in creating presentations for senior management
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Wealth Management experience preferred
