dormakaba is seekinga Distribution Development Manager (DDM) to join our Sales department in Phoenix, AZ. This role will be responsible for creating sales opportunities in an assigned region by marketing company product lines. The DDM will share their expertise and passion about dormakaba's Total Access Control and Hardware products finding ways to fit the needs of our customers, creating long lasting and fulfilling relationships in the market.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Coordinates with their regional team to move opportunities created by the team through our distribution partners to negotiate and close deals
Develops new end user opportunities by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services to new construction decision-makers through the distribution channel
Maintains and manages existing Distributor network relationships
Develops strategies, tactics, and contingency plans to obtain specific construction market share
Partners with ACRs to provide architects with consultation and specifications services for new construction projects
Stays abreast of industry/territory knowledge and trends and adapts to changes in the marketplace
Works closely with teammates to achieve the monthly, quarterly, and annual goals in place for their region or assigned territory
Works with their Regional Sales Manager to establish time sensitive goals and objectives, receiving guidance and feedback from Regional Sales Manager while work towards achieving these agreed upon results within the stated time
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant field preferred
2-4+ years of sales experience
2+ years hardware industry and hollow metal preferred
Must be able to make sales calls to and at distributor, architect, and end user sites
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make group presentations
Skills and experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills
Travel-50%+
