Position Summary

The Project Coordinator - Manufacturing role is an entry-level project management role within the Daikin Applied Project Management Office (PMO). The position will be focused primarily on supporting the planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and delivery of pre-production prototypes (e.g., engineering prototypes). Specifically, the Project Coordinator - Manufacturing position will work at the project operational level to ensure efficient use of resources on projects as well as supporting the development of the processes and standards for the overall PMO. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Project Coordination & Administration
  
  
  • Provides execution assistance to the project manager including but not limited to status reports, project escalation support, scheduling meetings, and supporting the completion of forms and other artifacts by project participants.
  
  
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing leaders to ensure project plan is current and accurate in context to engineering prototypes.
  
  
  • Assists with revisions to project schedules: generating tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones
  
  
  
  


• Project Management of Pre-Production Builds
  
  
  • Ensure pre-production builds are ready to be built
  
  
  • Coordinate with supply chain and engineering to ensure parts are ready
  
  
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and testing teams in the planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of pre-production builds.
  
  
  • Lead Pre-Production Build meetings and document decisions, readiness, and changes to the portfolio of pre-production builds.
  
  
  • Communication of the project plan with respect to Pre-Production Builds
  
  
  • Documents standards, policies, updates, and other Pre-Production Build artifacts
  
  
  
  


• Project tracking, Reporting and Support
  
  
  • Monitor and coordinate the tracking of project issues, working with the team to provide timely status updates to business line or other interested parties
  
  
  • Create project documentation as applicable for the project ensuring the timely completion of deliverables
  
  
  • Create and monitor minutes from all core team meetings and distribute
  
  
  • Updates necessary tracking system(s) to ensure that project and/or program status is maintained with complete accuracy.
  
  
  • Communicates all issues to management prior to reaching critical status
  
  
  • Develops and maintains accurate and complete files for projects and programs; continues to monitor for integrity and completeness
  
  
  • Provides ad hoc reports as requested
  
  
  • Provides additional administrative support as required
  
  
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Key interest in project management
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Engineering or related disciple
• 1+ years professional work experience through internships or other work experience
• Knowledge and interest in HVAC products and services
• Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)

• Demonstrated example of taking initiative with a solid work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management or PMI certification
• Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Inside sales experience, ideally in HVAC or related industry
• Exceptional communication skills, well developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and/or client needs
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project
• Experience with project management enterprise systems like Project Online, Project Server and/or Azure DevOps
