Job Description:

Job Summary:

WEX Inc is seeking a top-notch, creative, forward-thinking Senior Product Manager to drive our non-fuel strategy and product portfolio, including the WEX EDGE. This critical role will take the lead in developing and driving a strategic vision and planning a roadmap for Fleet transformation and continuous growth. As a manager, you will have Direct supervision of Product Owner, Analysts or Contractors.

This role collaborates with team members across the country, thus can work Remotely in the US.

Performance Objectives:

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to:


  • Connect with customer needs and validate solutions - Represent segments and build products and features they need and love. Interact with customers to constantly understand and translate their needs into the product roadmap and in the validation of the proposed solutions.



  • Lead the management and growth of a suite of products and offers targeted to Fleet Managers and drivers to create value and influence buying/payment behavior.



    • Lead product definition, research and development to meet the needs of WEX customers and drive revenue.


    • Develop deep understanding of current and potential customers, and design features and enhancements that anticipate and meet their needs.


    • Work closely with technology, marketing, and sales leadership to bring product(s) to life and improve existing product capabilities.


    • Manage and oversee product roadmap(s), and contribute to the Global Fleet roadmap and broader product prioritization.





  • Own results and data



    • Develop deep understanding of all metrics around the products and offers, including usage, satisfaction, etc.


    • Build dashboards to track metrics, watching for trends or changes, measuring effectiveness of enhancements and opportunities for improvement.


    • Track and report out on results, and evaluate future work based on the results.





  • Manage and prioritize the flow of work to the development teams



    • Own the roadmap, and the translation of that to priorities and work hitting dev teams at any given time.


    • Work with the Product Owner team to troubleshoot blockers, rework plans and maintain consistent flow.





  • Evangelize the product



    • Represent the product and roadmap to external and internal stakeholders.


    • Build or facilitate training and community-building opportunities for customers to get the most value out of the product.





  • Work across business disciplines to create shared understanding and coordinated plans.



    • Coordinate with sales and clients to consolidate and synthesize feedback into useful information for product development.


    • Work with marketing and sales to communicate product benefits and functionality.


    • Participate in market positioning and development of product launch campaigns, etc.


    • Work with IT to create a clear understanding of goals and promote the creation of shared components and services.




What you need to succeed:


  • Degree in technology, business or a related field or 3 or more years of relevant business analysis and/or product owner experience.


  • 5+ years experience in product development and agile software development.


  • Has successfully owned a product through the entire product lifecycle.


  • Strong technical and data knowledge: example: working with IT team's backlog and priorities, vetting their designs, etc.


  • Participated in User Experience (UX), product design, etc. for customer-facing products.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
