We're seeking a Director of Strategy and Operations who will help us achieve our goal of doubling the number of patients on home dialysis by 2025. DaVita's Home Director role can be exceptionally rewarding as you work to bring innovation and operational focus to help patients achieve higher quality of life and better overall health while receiving life-saving treatment. In this role you will have accountability for the growth, clinical outcomes, and operational/financial performance of approximately 25 Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD) programs across Oklahoma and Arkansas. You will work collaboratively with Regional Home Managers, Divisional and Regional Operations leaders as well as Physicians and hospital partners to achieve these goals.

Patients who choose home hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis can dialyze from the comfort of home, giving them better control of their treatment schedules, more time for themselves, their families, their jobs and the activities they enjoyed before starting dialysis. Patients may also see improved clinical outcomes over the chronic, or in-center setting. Payers and the integrated care system see home as a critical strategy for improving outcomes and reducing costs to the system. Our Home Directors derive immense fulfillment from helping patients access the dialysis treatment they would want for themselves. As the Home Director, you're in charge. The main areas you're accountable for include:




Patient Care - Impact patient lives and deliver optimal clinical outcomes


Success at DaVita is measured by how well patients respond to their dialysis treatments. The director is responsible for monitoring patient clinical outcomes utilizing DaVita's quality metric (DQI) in coordination with doctors, nurses and the interdisciplinary team.

Growth - Grow your programs to impact more patient lives


Dialyzing at home offers patients more freedom and often better clinical outcomes. Armed with clinical data and DaVita patient testimonials you'll collaborate across the organization, internally and externally, and implement innovative approaches to increase Home dialysis prevalence. You will assist in the development, review, revision, and roll out of new processes and initiatives. Finally, you will be a key asset to physicians to help them make changes to their practices that are aligned with CMS goals which will increasingly impact their bottom-line.




Teamwork - Develop, mentor, and inspire a cohesive team


Our best Home Directors thrive when they build a team of forward-thinking Regional Home Managers that want to grow programs while achieving the best clinical results for their patients. They work hand-in-hand with Regional Operations Directors to set winning strategies that will help drive the division to meet or exceed its goals. As a Home Director you will have the opportunity to coach and mentor our future home dialysis leaders. You will also be a key partner in monitoring compliance, conducting teammate evaluations, lead teammate satisfaction initiatives and incorporate Core Values within our teams.

Successful Home Directors ensure the complete operation and performance of our Home dialysis business within their division. They set financial budgets that align with our growth goals and hold their teams accountable to those budgets.



These goals will all be accomplished by creating and acting on a strategic vision, building a great team, exercising influence, implementing processes, and ensuring ongoing training and education occur across the division.





A successful candidate for this role should have:



  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in management/leadership across disciplines required; prior management in the healthcare field and experience with multi-site management are preferred but not required

  • High business acumen, including ability to analyze data and act on it

  • Proven ability to adeptly manage multiple priorities; a "gets stuff done" person

  • Capacity to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization and externally to influence positive outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, innovate and lead in an environment that moves at a rapid pace, where change is common

  • Passion for making a difference in people's lives
