The Pre-Sales Cyber Security Architect at Cognizant is responsible for providing pre-sales support in the development of solutions incorporating security services and offerings. The Enterprise security Architect will work in conjunction with Sales and Account Executives to architect, design, propose, and help close opportunities with both existing and new clients. The primary role is to drive and collaborate with a solution architecture team to develop and integrate solutions for a wide range of security capabilities and technologies including, but not limited to: perimeter and edge based network controls (firewalls, IPS, IDS, proxy and DLP based solutions), end point controls (anti-virus, anti-malware, data loss prevention, encryption), identity and access solutions, as well as visibility and response solutions. The role is also expected to lead cross-functional teams that anticipate future capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Pre-sales and solution architecture experience to support large ITO (infrastructure outsourcing) deals
Engages with the client, identifies security needs/requirements, engages with SMEs and bid team to work on security proposal and collect designs, pricing and validate security solution to be proposed
Works with engineers and SMEs in the development of the technical solution or offering, in translating the business needs into technical requirements, and is a key contributor in the value proposition.
Supports Bid & Proposal solution development including technical design and development of complex proposals for Security solutions (managed services, System Integration and Consulting)
Expertise in full lifecycle – from consultancy, to architectural definition, to solution implementation – our Security roles are diverse which presents great opportunities and challenges.
Pre-Sales experience to support RFI/RFP/RFS and conduct workshop with customers to understand the business requirements and propose solution solve business problems
Creating high quality documentation such as Presentations, proposal responses, Architecture /designs etc.
Evaluates and recommends future technologies and methodologies that will enhance our security services and offerings.
Communicating implications of architectural decisions, issues and plans to business and IT Leadership.
Job Requirements:
12+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Full lifecycle project experience as Security Consultant including design and implementation of Data center security, Cloud security solutions like Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, Web/Email Content Filtering, DLP, SIEM, End point security, Identity & access solutions, Encryption & application security.
Breadth of Knowledge across various security domains & Technologies like Network Security, Data Security, identity and access solutions & Application security.
Expert knowledge of Security Architecture across various environments - Data Center, Private /Public Cloud & Hybrid environment.
Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST experience advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards such as SAS70, SOC1, FISMA, etc.
Preferred Certifications:
Product certifications like CCIE, CCSE etc. and domain certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC
