SUMMARY:

The General Manager is responsible for
developing and implementing a successful regional business plan for sales, manufacturing,
and construction in addition to cultivating a culture of safety, quality and
efficiency while hiring and developing talent along with managing Corporate
expectations and initiatives and actively contributing to the overall national
success. Responsible and accountable for
aligning and driving P/L and manufacturing performance with Company short- and
long-term goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop
    and promote the overall Corporate and Regional objectives by developing a
    business plan for success that includes safety, quality, efficiency, and the
    bottom line.

  • Oversees
    and leads regional manufacturing performance to drive performance,
    profitability, quality, and delivery.

  • Works with
    internal teams to align and ensure adherence to company systems, tools, and
    processes.

  • Responsible
    for developing the existing talent as well as bringing in the right talent the
    long-term success of the individuals and the company.

  • Create a
    positive environment of teamwork through exceptional communication, programs,
    policies that are centered on creating a customer experience second to none.

  • Drive
    programs and policies that create an engaged work force.

  • Establish
    efficient and effective programs and policies that limit liability for our
    customers, employees, and the company.

  • Actively
    engaged in the marketplace and taking a leadership role within the industry.

SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises
other employees and managers/supervisors.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation
of this unit. Also directly supervises
non-supervisory employees. Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities
include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA desired

  • Seven
    years or more experience in general management of mid-market sized manufacturing
    and/or construction organizations.

  • Prefer
    LEAN (or comparable) training, OSHA 10hr training, Construction experience

  • Prior
    business development experience as a leader within a high growth organization

  • Mindset of
    "safety first" with a firm grasp on programs/policy that drive success in this
    area

  • Proven
    track record of identifying and developing talent

  • Demonstrated
    success with customer advocacy and partnerships

  • Experience
    working within a LEAN culture with a solid understanding of and drive for
    standard work,

  • processes
    and metrics in sales, manufacturing, and construction

  • Proven
    financial acumen and a track record for achieving aggressive financial goals

  • Solid
    understanding of effective controls, policies and programs that limit liability
    for customers, employees, and the company

  • Communicates
    effectively both verbally and in writing with management, colleagues, and
    individuals inside and outside the Company

  • Fair but
    firm hands-on leader, who is well versed in managing and motivating his/her
    team but at the same time holding people accountable.

  • Exhibits a
    professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive
    working relationships.

  • Knowledge
    and experience of principles and methods for designing, developing, selling, promoting,
    and delivering products and services.

  • Solid
    negotiator: ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal styles and methods of
    communication to gain agreement or acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, product,
    or service from customers.

  • Excellent
    time management, decision making, human relations, presentation, and
    organization skills.

  • Ability to
    communicate in Spanish is helpful.

  • Ability to
    communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Track
    record of employee development and coaching

  • Ability to
    present and facilitate to large or small groups of people at all levels

  • Exhibits a
    professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive
    working relationships.

    knowledge of principles and practices of human resources administration.

  • Strong MS
    Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, HRIS or other human
    resource information system experience a plus.
