The Opportunity

The IT department oversees the installation and maintenance of computer network systems within a company. Its primary function is to ensure that the network runs smoothly. The IT department must evaluate and install the proper hardware and software necessary to keep the network functioning properly.

Marvell is currently looking to add an experienced Director of Network Operations to join our team. The Director of Network Operations will oversee and coordinate network operations, facilitating efficient and effective monitoring, troubleshooting, and installation of services and provisioning of data and other related services.


MINIMUM ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Director of Network Operations


  • Responsible for the direction and planning of the day to day in our global Networks.

  • Troubleshoot and manage network infrastructure outages with team, including trouble ticket creation and dispatches.

  • Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure hardware/ systems such as well as occasional customer premises equipment.

  • Handle internal support escalations and report back resolutions for follow up.

  • Responsible for managing and updating documentation for policies, procedures, tickets, training, and support escalations.

  • Responsible for driving peak performance of Network Operations team.

  • Collaborate on R&D projects where necessary to provide scalable networks

  • Redundancy Planning.

  • Research and propose new technology solutions to streamline department functions.

  • Experienced with different vendors including: Cisco, PAN, Checkpoint, Forcepoint and others.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS - Director of Network Operations


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required. Willing to consider an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education.

    • Ten years of related experience preferred.

    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, etc.

    • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.

    • Knowledge and experience with networks, security guidelines, and best practices including but not limited to network hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.

    • Knowledge and experience with a variety of operating and server systems

    • Extensive knowledge of data communications equipment and installation processes.

    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

    • Excellent organizational and global skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

    • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written)

    • Positive attitude, punctual, and strong work ethic
