I: Job Summary

Team leaders meet on a regular basis with the department management and are responsible to oversee projects and day-to-day operations of the warehouse team, assuring the workload is distributed evenly and ensure that motivation and performance levels are maintained.

The core part of the Team Leaders job is the coordination of the team and resources, delegating tasks, training, development and dealing with the day-to-day operational aspects of team management and assisting department management.

Team leaders will occasionally have administrative tasks, batch record review, deviation review and re-training responsibilities. It's a team leader's duty to guide the team's vision and ensure that everything goes according to plan.

II: Responsibilities

* Comply with cGMP regulations, adhere to Emergent policies, and adhere to site SOP and Batch Record directions. Report any violations to Supply Chain Management.

* Ensure all applicable paperwork and area/equipment logs are complete and verified each day.

* Coordinate material and equipment needs to ensure availability for operational activities.

* Delegate personnel for up to date cycle counting and proper inventory of all product storage areas.

* Monitor the inventory and report any shortages to the management as required for the routine operation of the warehouse areas.

* Works under the general supervision of management to receive, ship, pull material and products at the Facility.

* Responsible for meeting with management to discuss daily warehouse tasks.

* Provide assistance with deviation investigations and provide input to root cause analysis and resolution.

* Delegate personnel to do various tasks. Review all batch records during daily operations and at the completion of assigned tasks before issuing or shipments of material.

* Provide personal leadership for the continuous improvement of quality and effectiveness with Production.

* Responsible to observe and follow the rules and regulations outlined in the current Emergent Employee Handbook and to ensure that department members also abide by those policies. Report to management any violations of Emergent's Employee Handbook.

* Provide support to other areas of the department as workloads increase.

* Gain knowledge and be able to provide training on batch record documentation, and any aspect of warehouse job requirements deemed necessary by management.

Support global and site warehouse operational excellence initiatives.

III: Education, Experience & Skills

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Minimum of 2 years experience or Educational experience beyond a High School Diploma
