Fill-in Payroll Clerk

SUMMARY:

Ensure accuracy in payroll for entire facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Calculate daily finishing department production numbers

  • Key and check production numbers and pay for finishing department daily

  • Check and key all hourly employees' time

  • Check hours for all departments by daily time in Paycom system

  • Correct hours that are keyed incorrectly on a daily basis

  • Confirm total hours for the week

  • Verify pay for all production/piece-rate employees

  • Send in charge back list once completed

  • Once payroll is verified, confirm with corporate payroll department for completion

  • Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality

  • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of knitting machines and sock constructions.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in any employee issues when necessary. Supervise production operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or GED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY


  • Organizational skills

  • Computer skills necessary

  • Adaptability

  • Ability to use 10 key calculators efficiently and accurately

  • Good communication skills

  • Knowledge of production paperwork for Finishing
