Job Summary:
Field install of Audio Visual (AV) systems, CCTV, and Security systems.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this position.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required and a Manufacturer Certification preferred.
Experience: Required 3-5 years of hands-on work experience installing, troubleshooting, or servicing Audio Visual (AV), CCTV, or Security systems, and programming and commissioning.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
This position is represented by Local Electrical and VDV Union 124. Must meet their requirements.
Other requirements:
Primarily work in Kansas City Metro Area, but must be willing to travel nationally.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must have the ability to perform installations with few to no mistakes and keep crew working efficiently and safely. Must be able to build relationships with the customer.

Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform manual work for at least 8 hours per day in all weather and temperature environments.
Ability to work in cramped positions.

Lifting and carrying: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
Ability to work on scissor lift and/or boom lift.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Visual Acuity: Good visual acuity is required including but not limited to various distances: near detail work and far; various light conditions: night or in dim light, in daylight or bright light, under glare or poor contrast; to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment, distinguishing colors, shapes, patterns depth perception and peripheral vision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Workers are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as steal toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, work gloves, safety vests, protective suits, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, fall protection and other devices to protect their eyes, respiratory system, hearing or physical safety. Workers must be especially alert to safely follow procedures and must deal with a variety of hazards. Workers are subject to the following environments: inside areas with uncontrolled temperatures; outside areas with extreme heat, cold and weather conditions; loud noise; various physical hazards; exposure to various harmful materials/chemicals/dusts/poor ventilation; small/narrow work spaces which could cause claustrophobia; exposure to potential infectious diseases/materials.
