Growth Senior Manager at Conway MacKenzie

Job Description:

The Growth Senior Manager supports Riveron's Growth Strategy and will be responsible for helping build the business. This position will work directly with the Managing Director (MD) of Riveron's Growth practice and the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to advance and achieve the firm's strategic growth initiatives. Current initiatives include but are not limited to: organic geographic expansion, inorganic integration efforts, National Private Equity ("NPE") coverage, industry go-to-market, business development, recruiting, and operations. The successful applicant must be hands-on, adaptable, dynamic, self-reliant, and able to effectively interface with large numbers of stakeholders to help drive growth and go-to-market model evolution.

As a Team Member, You Will:


    • Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Work with the Growth MD and CGO to develop detailed strategic / tactical plans to enact firm-driven strategy including but not limited to: organic geographic expansion, inorganic integration, Industries Program advancement, NPE expansion, general business development, and national sales enablement efforts

    • Business Development:

    • Work with the Growth MD and CGO to develop and update go-to-market strategies and plans for new market expansions

    • Take point on and drive select business development opportunities, pursuits, and proposals in the following areas: industries (National), PE and corporate targets identified in new market expansions (Geo-centric), channels, and other opportunities arising from growth initiatives

    • Help to qualify opportunities and leverage sales support resources

    • Create and actively manage pipeline opportunities to ensure proper revenue forecasting

    • Perform quality assurance on a range of written proposals, including perform original work to draft and finalize proposals and engagement letters

    • Support negotiation of contracts with new customers in conjunction with MD and legal

    • Identify new channels and resources for outreach, lead generation, and prospecting

    • Review existing strategy and partners across local channels in conjunction with Sales & Marketing

    • Occasionally coordinate and attend marketing events

    • Participate in networking events and conferences during or after business hours

    • Recruiting:

    • Perform the following for initiatives requiring recruiting (e.g. organic expansion, Industries Program, etc.): evaluate potential candidates based on desired skill sets and provide detailed and thoughtful feedback to Recruiting and other stakeholders

    • Business Operations and Research Support:

    • Work with Growth MD and CGO to successfully report on active growth initiatives to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other audiences

    • Conduct data analysis and research on the various active initiatives

    • Support efforts in the Industries Program across all 12 of the firm's industry verticals

    • Measure growth initiatives and special projects using a series of metrics and KPIs that provide visibility to the results in achievements and/or gaps.

    • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver on firm objectives

    • Assist with complex projects and make recommendations based on research and data analysis

    • Recommend improvements of existing processes to increase proficiency

    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics such as competitor analysis, market share, demographic trends, and growth projections

    • Assist in preparing strategic plans by analyzing trends and forecast

    • Learn about trends in individual markets/practices to identify and inform larger patterns across the firm

Your Experience Should Include:


    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (MBA a plus)

    • 7+ years of relevant experience in consulting with exposure to 3 or more of the following: strategy, business development (ideally sole-sourcing of new clients), recruitment, operations, market/client research

    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pitchbook, and CRM(Salesforce)

    • Data manipulation, visualization, and analysis tools (PowerBI)

    • Working knowledge of accounting and finance processes a plus
