We are seeking a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Lead to join American Tower’s Engineering team.  The Engineering team is responsible for maintaining the safety and longevity of our towers and ensures a high level of compliance with industry standards. Day to day you will provide thought leadership for all aspects of CAD services and collaborate with senior management to develop standards and procedures.  As a Computer-Aided Drafting Lead, you will partner cross-functionally to help determine objectives and requirements for new programs associated with diverse CAD services.

What You Can Offer Us

• Guide, lead, train and support staff members providing CAD services.


• Lead the development of standards and guidelines for CAD services and quality control procedures used throughout the department.


• Develop and maintain CAD library of standard and typical details and LISP routine library for CAD services.


• Resolve technical matters pertaining to all CAD services.  Perform detailed QA/QC of CAD products.


• Provide technical leadership in the selection of new CAD software, major upgrades and equipment.


• Be current on technical methods and developments in CAD services.


• As a CAD Lead, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management and career development of CAD Technicians. You’ll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.


• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  


• A minimum of 8 years of AutoCAD experience required.


• National CAD Standard experience preferred.


• Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.


• Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.


• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.


• Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
