Performs traditional general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll analysis, general ledger, and month-end closings.
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close plan.
Prepares forecasts and reports detailing revenues and expenses by cost center.
Analyzes financial statements and investigates and reports on variances.
Assists with tax return preparations and other corporate reporting
Assists with preparation for all annual audits including DCAA, financial statement, borrowing base, etc
Corresponds with other departments to ensure proper accounting for revenue, purchases, and expenses.
Assist with Costpoint module implementations and Cognos reporting to include developing dashboards and other financial tools.
Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Assist with billings and WAWF, IPP submissions.
Assist with unbilled and other reconciliations.
Assist with preparation of compliance reporting to include, Incurred Cost Submission and other annual reports and filings.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to demonstrate the application of extensive technical expertise.
Proven experience applying technical solutions to complex problems
Must be able to demonstrate considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 years of experience, or a Master's with 6 - 8 years of experience.
Must be efficient with Costpoint and Cognos software
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Must have a strong understanding of Government Contracting Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
