Associate Marketing Manager - Southern California

Role Responsibilities Role Mission: The Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting their assigned geography in the planning, execution, tracking, and evaluation of all marketing programming that drives the Beam Suntory priorities. Responsibilities to include
National Programming:
Work closely with Regional Marketing to ensure national programs are purchased to an appropriate level and executed as designed
Support local execution of national sampling and national event programming with asset management as needed
Coordinate and manage all POS buys and inventory at the local level to ensure timely execution of materials in-market
Regional/Local Programming:
Manage local VAP creation; assist with sponsorship needs/relationship; assist in working closely with SoCal marketing specialist; assist in augmentation of local experiential; assist in working with local advocacy teams; lead local sell sheet/playbook needs
Work closely with Regional Marketing, Industry Affairs, Intellectual Property, Legal and Sales to ensure local programming adheres to brand guidelines, state and federal regulations, and properly protects our intellectual property
Manage procurement of promotional materials to support regional and local programs, utilizing centralized procurement options
Ensure quality, cost efficiencies, program effectiveness, and on-time delivery of local programs
Assist Southern California Marketing Manager with programming calendar management and program tracking
Lead management of local sampling agency including weekly check-ins ensuring regional reporting and tracking
Lead setup and management of MIRs and Sweeps promotions with printers and fulfilment partners
Lead asset management with third partner storage partners
BI Management:
Assist the SCA Marketing Manager with planning, allocation and spend of yearly brand investment (BI) budgets
Manage monthly phasing, weekly meetings with BI analyst; assist analyst with invoices and budget tracker for SCA
Participate in BI budget review meetings with all stakeholders (weekly review/monthly deep dive)
Provide input and recommendations for all incremental program and funding requests to maximize and track return on investment (ROI)
3+ years of experience in brand or field/trade marketing
Strong financial acumen, knowledge of Salesforce.com and SAP a plus
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel & PPT
Strong and effective communication skills
Ability to conceptualize and think creatively, as well as work independently
Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
Travel - up to 10%
Desired qualifications
Previous industry experience a plus
Strong on- and off-premise brand building experience
Experience managing premium brands and knowledge across spirits categories
Passion for the brands and categories
