The Servicing Clerk is responsible for assisting with file setup after loan closings and the on-going servicing of loans. This person answers email and the telephone inquiries from members and employees; monitor/work weekly and monthly reports; payment of property taxes; escrow analysis; and other duties that apply to the servicing department.   Promotes business for the credit union by maintaining member and vendor relations; adheres to TVFCU’s policies and procedures;

Specific Duties

• Prepares and scans post-close mortgage loan packages, document review, correcting document deficiencies and related post-closing procedures, and set up of tax tracking


• Review and scan final documents to folders and systems


• Provide loan payoff information and process loan payoffs


• Set up, monitor, cancel, and  assist with paying property taxes with 3rd party vendor


• Assist with annual escrow analysis


• Provide mortgage servicing information to members and employees by phone or email


• Handle subordination requests, modifications, and releases in a timely manner


• Assist with various reports on a weekly or monthly basis


• Performs other job related duties as assigned


• Comply with credit union policies and federal, state and other governmental rules and regulations for mortgage lending and servicing

TVFCU requires that candidates possess one to three years of loan servicing experience.  Mortgage loan servicing experience preferred.  Knowledge of mortgage related regulations and documentation is also preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements


• Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, including but not limited to adherence to all State and Federal regulations


• Must be comfortable with substantial personal contact with others inside and/or outside of TVFCU for purposes of information sharing, relationship building, soliciting of cooperation, etc.


• Must be able to be bonded and meet Safe Act Requirements, including but not limited to registered or licensed via the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
