A Quality Assurance Inspector at Luxfer Magtech maintains the flow of quality product by performing in-process and end-item testing, and all associated documentation. The Quality Assurance Inspector should be extremely detail oriented, and be proactive in improving process design by providing feedback on failures, rejects, and non-conforming products. The Quality Assurance Inspector should have superb organization and documentation skills and be able to work on a diverse product line.
Document in-process production by confirming in-house specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; fill out required paperwork and submit to supervisor.
Perform end item testing by confirming government contract specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work or destruction.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste.
Process change requests and change order of documentations as needed.
Perform root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, document failure rates, quantify scrap, monitor calibration records and investigate product non-conformances.
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; performing calibrations; calling for repairs.
Assist in manufacturing job training as needed by production supervisor.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience 1-2 years of Quality Inspector/Manufacturing experience preferred
Prior experience/training with chemicals or chemical manufacturing ideal
Experience with MS Word, Excel, SPC
Ability to stand and walk most of the day and lift up to 25 pounds.
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
