What you will do
As a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Johnson Controls Global Products Planning organization, you will be responsible for diving deep into large, fragmented, and complex data sets that span our entire supply chain. This position will require a creative problem solver who isn’t afraid to get down into the details and build out digital solutions to unlock productivity within our business. You will be responsible for building tools to consolidate, analyze, and drive strategic decision making across our supply chain. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for working with many different stakeholders to understand the problem, identify the solution, and execute on bringing the solution to life.
How you will do it
Own your projects by creating project plans, tracking progress, and communicating project updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Build, develop and maintain data models, automated reports, and dashboards that align to strategic performance metrics.
Design and develop digital solutions that drive insights into major supply chain metrics such as On-time Delivery, Forecast Accuracy, Cost of Poor Quality, Returned Parts Per Million (RPPM) and Warranty Claims.
Communicate with technical teams to identify data tables and schemas needed for analysis. Strong understanding of ERPs, MRPs, and Planning databases will be needed to determine how to prep and blend data from different systems.
Identify and solve process gaps that contribute to poor data quality or long lead times to update our systems.
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities with digital solutions to increase operational efficiency.
Utilize business intelligence tools to communicate findings and solutions to the problems you are trying to solve.
Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Quality, or Engineering
Experience in creating complex SQL queries to prep and blend data
Strong understanding of BI tools such as Alteryx, and Power BI
Proven ability to critically think and creatively problem solve
Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience using the Microsoft Apps such as SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Lists, etc.
Ability to influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders when implementing a new process or change to an existing process
Experience connecting directly to multiple databases to extract, prep, and blend large datasets
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Travel up to 10%.
Preferred:
Experience working on data analytics projects involving quality improvement and warranty claims
Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification
Knowledge of R, Python, DAX, JavaScript, or related programming languages
Experience with predictive analytics or artificial intelligence
