THE ROLE

The Field Service Technician plans and coordinates in-house and customer based field installation and integration of flight simulation PC Windows-based real-time computing image generation, fixed matrix type projection and optical display systems at customer's facility ensuring system functionality through execution of documented test procedures meeting program specifications.

Responsibilities


  • Assess the current condition of a visual system and prioritize corrective/setup actions that may be necessary.

  • Install new or modified equipment customers at facilities to ensure full functionality according to specifications.

  • Read, understand and interpret electronic schematics and written procedures.

  • Utilize basic electronic test equipment, perform signal tracing and have the aptitude to understand advanced analog and digital technology.

  • Review performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem to recommend corrective action.

  • Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel.

  • Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.

  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.

  • Develop and conduct training on the safe operation of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees.

The Requirements


  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in electronics or electronic technology

  • At least1 year related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
