Sales Director
Akron, OH
Akro-Mils, a Myers Industries company, seeks a creative, razor sharp, seasoned sales executive to manage and lead the growing sales organization for our Commercial Packaging division. We are the industry leader in the manufacture of storage, organization and transport solutions for industrial, healthcare, custom design, and home storage use. As our Sales Director, you'll be responsible for establishing and driving strategies for core market segments and to enhance new market penetration; planning and executing new revenue generating initiatives; and developing the disciplined solution-based sales team that will drive your strategy's performance.
Other Responsibilities Include:
* Drive change from cost plus based selling to value selling based on well -defined value propositions and business cases that encourage customer action
* Developing sales key performance indicators and compensation structure
* Forecasting and reporting (monthly / quarterly) on order intake, revenue, development of the markets and relevant Sales KPIs for business overview
* Coordinating with all departments to retain customers and defend existing business
Qualifications Include:
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Management; MBA or other post-graduate degree in related fields a plus
* 5+ years' experience in successful leadership of a sales force and a proven track record of enabling a sales organization to grow business
* 3+ years of key account management experience
* Strong understanding of the sales process and the diligence it takes to work a territory
* Demonstrated technical proficiency with CRM systems
* Willingness to travel (50%+)
