The Internal & Executive Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal and executive communications and employee engagement strategies to inform, engage and inspire our community of employees. This is a highly visible role and one that will enable you to make a tangible impact! The incumbent in this role will specifically support our Chief Information Officer and the Technology organization, as well as our Chief Financial Officer and the Finance organization.

How you will make an impact:


  • Develops internal communications, change management, employee engagement and executive visibility plans to deliver on business objectives.

  • Works closely with our senior leadership team to provide strategic communications, counsel, and coaching.

  • Proactively identifies new opportunities and develops new programs to continually up-level our executive communications.

  • Partners closely with cross-functional business units (e.g., people, Growth, Operations, Technology, Legal, Finance) to develop targeted strategic communications programs to reach and engage their teams.

  • Develops innovative and measurable solutions to business challenges.

  • Develops key messages, all-employee communications, executive presentations, digital content and internal storytelling content.

What we look for:


  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, organizational effectiveness, journalism or equivalent education, training or experience is required.

  • A minimum of 6 years internal communications experience.

  • Experience creating internal communications on behalf of Finance and IT executives preferred.

  • A Master's degree along with insurance and/or healthcare experience is preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to fluidly navigate between strategy and execution (can develop high-level strategic plans and also produce crisp, clear communications).

  • Broad knowledge of recent industry best - and emerging - practices, including digital and social platforms to engage employees.

  • Proven success building and implementing communication strategies for executives.

  • Excellent project and time management skills, and multitasking abilities.

  • Confirmed capability to work autonomously and exercise good judgment in fast-paced, dynamic environments, as well as the ability to escalate appropriately.

  • The ability to derive clarity out of ambiguous situations.
