Position Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, repairs and upkeep of plant operational equipment.

Core Functions:

• Repair gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives, and belt drives


• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, centrifugal, piston, rotary and other positive displacement pumps


• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plan for and take corrective action; make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality


• Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery


• Follow directions and perform routine preventative maintenance using electronic PM system (SAP)


• Document tasks and work order completion according to standard oprating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines and policies


• Create and maintain a clean and safe work environment


• Ability to work cooperatively with others


• Regular attendance


• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or its equivalent


• 3-5 years experience with packaging equipment, welding, and pneumatics


• Blueprint and electrical schematic reading ability


• Industrial electrical skills


• Experience with ammonia refrigeration desired


• Knowledge and understanding of PLC and HMI


• Experience with steam boilers, water chillers and air compressor systems a plus


• Fabrication and stainless steel welding a plus


• Work Schedule:


• Full-time, variable time/days
