The Nurse working for RHD's New Start II program provides medical care primarily toindividuals involved in RHD's Withdrawl Management and Long term treatment services.The RN will also provide medical services including medicationmonitoring to all persons involved with services provided by RHD's New Start II.
Essential Duties and Functions
This position is for a 11pm-7am Shift
Maintain nursing documentationand medication records.
Follow all agency, MCO,County, State and licensing regulations.
Supervise consumers toensure safety and health of all residents and oversee staff assignments.
Follow agency protocolsfor assessment, documentation and reporting or client issues and status.
Communicate with othermembers of the nursing staff including report at the change of shift andinforming the Nurse Manager of important matters.
Team with staff duringcrisis intervention to deescalate and re-direct client during periods ofemotional distress.
Interaction with familymembers, ICMs (Intensive Case Managers), adjunct staff, and otherprofessionals.
Complete assessments asrequired by written or verbal protocols.
Assistwith organization and ordering of medical supplies.
Supervise clientsubmission of urine for analysis, complete in office testing and/or completerequisitions for testing at an outside laboratory.
Provide training to thestaff about medical conditions/considerations that pertain to the populationserved.
Facilitate educationalgroups with staff and/or residents.
Qualifications
LPN license
2-5 years experience in a Drugand Alcohol withdrawl management setting.
Willing to work withintergrated groups & community members.
Valid driver's license.
ACT33/34 clearance.
FBIclearance, as needed

New Start II is a short-term and long-term residential treatment facility that provides intensive drug & alcohol treatment, mental health, and withdrawal management support services to men. We service the chronically homeless population. The program also provides psychosocial support needed for the participant served to move towardsindependent living.
The program has a philosophy thatreflects the RHD Values of providing each person treatment in a safe,respectful and holistic environment. The goals andobjectives include a person-centered approach to treatment. The programsupports each individual to maintain sobriety, mental health stability, andengagement in a process to secure stable housing.
New Start II provides a variety of services,during the individuals 6-9 month treatment stay that includesindividual and group counseling,psychoeducational groups, psychopharmacology treatment by a consulting psychiatrist, and case management services related the individualized needs ofthe participant i.e. housing, medical, and ongoing supports.
