Job Description



Repairs, installs, replaces, troubleshoots and tests complicated AC and DC electrical circuits and equipment, from wiring diagrams and written and verbal instructions, etc. Participates in the design, layout and procurement of electrical equipment, circuits, components and supplies as required to support systems installations, repair, troubleshooting and upgrade. Uses hand tools and testing instruments. Inspects and tests electrical equipment, breaker, controller, lighting, signal, communication and power circuits. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, controllers and complicated electrical equipment using testing instruments. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance replacing faulty components and other elements of electrical systems including high yards and high voltage systems. Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or electromechanical parts. Knowledgeable of, and performs all work in accordance with, established safety procedures ans applicable building and electrical codes (i.e. NEC). Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of building and safety codes. Responsible for any and all waste generator duties as related to the electrician trade. Performs related duties.







Required Skills




  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Journeyman electrician or a minimum of 10 years related experience in the electrical trade







Preferred Skills




  • Experienced in the use of aerial work platforms / Bucket Truck

  • RAD Worker
