About the Job -- Director of Human Resources (CE Mid-South)


The Mid-South region of Carrier Enterprise, LLC sells residential and commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through dealers (independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier products to residences and businesses in their respective markets).

Summary



The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading Human Resource initiatives and promoting a high performance environment, including leadership effectiveness, staffing and sourcing, talent development, performance programs, compensation, policy compliance, employee relations, and communications for the Carrier Enterprise Mid-South region headquartered in Memphis, TN. In addition, the incumbent will define HR strategies and plans to facilitate the achievement of business results, organizational effectiveness and individual development. This position functions as a business partner and reports to the Region President. The Mid-South Region has locations in TN, LA, MS, AR and TX.

  • Direct the development and implementation of organizational design and development programs

  • Leadership coaching and development

  • Benefits plans, policies and guidelines

  • Database management procedure

  • Evaluate effectiveness through compiling and analyzing data

Skills




  • Must demonstrate knowledge of HR concepts in theory and practice (i.e. performance management, employee relations, employment law, compensation & benefits, training & development, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, etc.)

  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and experience with HRIS/payroll systems, ADP Vantage, RM (Recruiting Manager System), and the LMS (Learning Management System)

  • Detail oriented and ability to meet and work within specified objectives and timelines

  • Professional presence and strong customer service attitude

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Is highly organized and has very effective time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Equally strong listening skills

Minimum Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources required; Master's degree in Business or Human Resources is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience is required. In addition, previous Human Resources experience supporting multiple location is required.
