Who we want… (Requirements)


A qualified procurement agent with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience with process and/or Industrial equipment and/or and a bachelor’s degree; or the equivalent combination of experience and education.


Must be technically capable and experienced in the use of the most recent versions of Microsoft Office. Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, software and e-mail. 


The selected candidate will have excellent communication skills, highly organized, and enjoy growing their skills and abilities within the department

What we expect… (Essential Functions)



  • Follow procurement policies to ensure all equipment is purchased and delivered within budget, time constraints and monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.

  • Work with the Gray project managers and estimators on pricing equipment for proposals & final budgets.

  • Receive proposals, negotiate and administer purchase orders and contracts with suppliers.

  • Monitor and track procurement schedule for open purchase orders. Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and delivery performance.

  • Identify and source new suppliers and vendors; develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors and establish master purchase order agreements with preferred vendors.

  • Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery, guarantees, warranty and supply of purchases.

  • Work with legal department to establish and implement purchasing terms and conditions.

  • Work with Risk Management Department to establish appropriate insurance requirements.

  • Evaluate contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements, customer requirements and organizational policies.

  • Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures.

  • Monitor vendor compliance with contractual agreements. Oversee supplier compliance with project quality standards and external regulations.

  • Participate in reviews and approvals of vendor payment requests.

  • Manage vendor and supplier database based on safety, quality, support, capacity, price and reliability.

  • Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes and policies to accommodate changing organizational needs and market conditions.
