SUMMARY OF DUTIES
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Provide reporting to VAM USA management and Corporate stakeholders on a monthly and quarterly basis with financial and qualitative metrics.
• Measure and report on cost savings efforts for the manufacturing facilities and assist the plant managers in understanding their expenses.
• Provide budget to actual analyses for SG&A.
• Analyze financial data for variance analyses, savings targets and working capital targets.
• Assist in preparation of the annual budget, 5 year strategic plan and monthly forecasts.
• Monitor a multi-million capital expenditure budget for cash spent and overruns by project.
• Provide financial, commercial and strategic support to the business.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s revenue recognition policies.
• Maintain the cash forecast and monitor cash balances on a daily basis.
• Perform seller side intercompany reconciliations.
• Collaborates with the other Group finance departments to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Must follow all company policies, practices and regulations to include Safety and Quality.
• Any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
• Knowledge of principles and practice of local government financial operation, GAAP, and Federal and State Laws and regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of corporate reporting requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel.
• Must be comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to key executives and influencing at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to read, write and speak well in English.
• Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
