Job Description

Xactware is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the team in Lehi, UT. The Project Managerwill support XactPRM and isresponsible for planning and managing projects to support product and business goals. This involves assessing current business operations and information systems, identifying gaps and implementing solutions to support existing and new business initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Manage projects of all sizes through the stages of the project lifecycle from concept, scoping, planning and execution. Drive operational efficiency through process review and re-engineering. Complete cost/benefit analysis and present a clear business case to support proposed solutions. Negotiate for necessary resources to plan and complete projects. Manage issues and risks and escalate when necessary to achieve resolution. Ensures all relevant project management deliverables are produced to a high standard, including: Business Requirements Documents, Project Schedule, Issues/Risk Log, Status Reports and Budgets Plans.


• Work with customers and internal staff to create intuitive designs with a focus on simplicity and efficiency.


• Proactively manage day-to-day progress of product.


• Manage and groom backlog.


• Coordinate between different development teams and track multiple product roadmaps.


• Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, support, marketing, documentation and operations to provide resolutions to customers' needs and take advantage of market opportunities.


• Communicate fluently and convincingly, both in meetings and discussions as well as through major reports and presentations using appropriate tools and techniques.


• Provide team members and business associates with direction and communication throughout the project life cycle.


• Organize regular team meetings and inter-company meetings.


• Work with external and internal parties on project related requirements.


• Work with VP and development managers to define project objectives and strategy.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business or technology related field and minimum 5+ year's project management experience - MBA preferred


• Excellent working knowledge of full software development lifecycle as well as development methodologies


• Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills


• Ability to work independently to achieve exceptional results


• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, customer service skills and customer focus


• Work well within tight deadlines - able to prioritize


• Strong problem solving, analysis, business acumen and conflict management skills


• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Experience with Project preferred


• Experience with Jira and Confluence a plus
