Position Purpose:

The Network and Training Management System (TMS) Administrator is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of all servers, desktops, laptops, peripherals, local area network (LAN), and communications hardware, software, and firmware. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and maintaining the Training Management System consisting of the Graduate Training Integrated Management System (GTIMS) and the Learning Management System (LMS) including but not limited to scheduling, student registration, syllabus maintenance and end user support/troubleshooting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Assists in implementation of network infrastructure. Performs routine maintenance, configuration, support, and testing of Servers, PC hardware, software, peripheral equipment, communication, and network components. Provide support for Computer-Based Training (CBT) clients, associated hardware and software.

  • Maintains, prioritizes, and arranges maintenance support for servers, desktops, laptops, peripherals and associated hardware, software, and firmware applicable to the KC46-ATS training program.

  • Assists with the administration and operation of the proxy, e-mail, file, printer, web, fax, domain naming system (DNS), antivirus (A/V), Active Directory (AD), and archive/backup servers used throughout the KC-46 local Main Operating Base (MOB).

  • Receives, installs, configures, integrates, and tests computer hardware, software, peripheral, communication and network components.

  • Installs approved software and upgrades on MOB systems and all associated hardware. Prioritizes and coordinates updates with users and serves as a liaison between the users and product vendors.

  • Assists in the analysis of requirements and development of specifications for personal computer hardware and software systems. Interfaces with Logistics, vendors, and suppliers in the support of purchasing efforts.

  • Coordinate, generate, maintain, and disseminate quarterly and monthly training schedules for site personnel, training devices, classrooms, students, and equipment. Utilize approved scheduling program.

  • Prepare and disseminate daily training schedules by coordinating with squadron pilot and boom schedulers, resolving problems due to illness, device failure, temporary assignments, etc.

  • Compile student completion paperwork and generate graduation certificates.

  • Coordinate and schedule Air Force Wing Device time and internal device use.

  • Coordinate changes to scheduled Primary Flying Training (PFT) throughput with the Air Force.

  • Prepare and disseminate records and monthly reports of Aircrew Training System (ATS) training and device usage.

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documents as required, by Corporate office or Government.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:


  • Fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate the ability to operate common office equipment, such as fax machine, copier, and typewriter.

  • Demonstrate solid knowledge in use of computers.

  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of relevant software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.

  • Possess a basic knowledge of relevant software, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), and GTIMS.

  • Demonstrate the ability to schedule time and projects in a high-stress environment.

  • Currently possess, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, a SECRET clearance.

  • Security+ Certification shall be able to be attained within one year

Education and Formal Training:

Must have a high school diploma or GED, with concentration in commercial courses. Business college or training is highly desirable.

Experience:


  • Three years of computer network administration experience.

  • Experience with physical installation of servers; configuration and repair of PC/Server hardware.

  • Solid networking background to include TCP/IP, DNS and Active Directory.

  • Working experience with virtual networks, virtual servers, WSUS, McAfee EPO and Windows GPO strongly desired.

  • Two years of experience in business or Government office environment. Experience as a scheduler in a flight training environment is desirable
