Job Description:

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Location: Miami, FL

The Warehouse supervisor ensures operational activities are in alignment with profit and expense goals, while providing the highest possible service to the market customer base, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and government regulations, and providing a work-environment conducive to superior productivity, safety, quality and morale.  The work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 8pm

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

• Oversees warehouse operations to include all or part of receiving, storage, inventory control, picking /packing, assembly, and distribution activities.


• Plans, organizes, and directs warehouse and selected office functions to ensure order fulfillment with 100% customer satisfaction


• Supervises warehouse agents


• Maintains morale and work standards


• Trains and manages performance of warehouse agents


• Assertively seeks solutions at the root level of problems


• Builds teamwork among station management team, sales team, and employees


• Ensures warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.


• Controls expenses


• Ensures warehouse and equipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards


• Collective Bargaining Experience, either as a previous union agent or supervision in a union environment.


• Supervise 10+ employees


• Supervises the transportation of customer goods to and from the Hub/Gateway facility. 


• Responsible for and Supervises inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, customs and inventory control. 


• Develops and implements process and procedure improvements for service delivery to the customer. 


• Responsible for the Key Performance Indicator of the product. 


• Supervises a staff; and is responsible for coaching, training, and developing staff.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS / MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in operations, distribution or supply chain management is preferred.


• Experience in a management level position with  demonstrated leadership/supervisory ability


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Accomplished leadership skills, organizational, and HR management.

 

OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Personal computer literacy


• Organizational skills


• Comprehensive knowledge of distribution methods and procedures. 


• Strong technical skills and the ability to use DHL’s suite of PC-based applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
