We are currently seeking a Service Desk Technician to provide exceptional IT support to internal and external customers. This role installs and maintains computer hardware and software, and troubleshoots IT related issues with Windows/Mac/Chome based computers, cell phones, tablets and enterprise applications. This role may also be responsible for the design and implementation of desktop solutions within company standards to support business needs. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software problems
Install, and configure Windows based workstations in an Microsoft Active Directory and Office365 environment
Develop and implement Service Desk solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and user experience
Support projects throughout the organization that include changes to our IT environment.
Work directly with a Systems, Data, and Network Engineer to support customer issues
Work with third-party vendors on escalated support issues and assigned projects
Participate in on-call rotation to support 24x7 operations
Requirements:
Preferred Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems.
Knowledge and experience with IT Management Frameworks (ITIL, COBIT).
3-5 years desktop support experience in a geographically diverse enviornment.
3-5 years Office365 administration experience
3-5 years Active Directory experience
Key Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office365, including Administration, Exchange Online, Azure AD, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
Strong knowledge of antivirus and malware avoidance technologies
Experience with support and administration of MacOS
Experience supporting cell phone and mobile devices on both IOS and Android
Experience supporting enterprise telephony systems (on-prem and cloud)
Experience with desktop networking concepts, including DNS, IP addressing and VPN
Experience working in an ITSM, such as ZenDesk and ServiceNow
Key Non-Technical Skills:
This individual should be goal driven and focused on execution.
This individual enjoys working in a team environment, but is able to work through technical issues on their own with minimal guidance
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work with non-technical users in a positive, polite and supportive way.
