What We’re Looking For:

As a Revenue Accountant, you are a key member of the US Accounting team and an integral part of JAGGAER’s revenue process. You will be responsible for the order to cash process required to account for revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP in a SaaS environment. Reporting to the Global Director, Revenue Management & Reporting, you will also be responsible for performing research and analysis on issues that arise as part of the monthly close process, customer inquiries, account reconciliations, owning the order to cash process, and other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Principal Responsibilities

Things You’ll Do:

• Own the order to cash process for a subset of customers. This includes order review, invoicing, collections, customer inquiries, and cash application.


• Prepare and review revenue transactions to ensure they are accurately recorded in accordance with US GAAP


• Cash application for the US and Canada entities


• Prepare global receivables reports and commentary for executive team


• Perform monthly reporting and analysis


• Document processes and templates to improve efficiency and effectiveness


• Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including preparation of receivable schedules, GAAP revenue analysis, account reconciliations, roll forwards, journal entries, and close package


• Responsible for developing and maintaining effective internal controls around financial reporting for the above areas.


• Assist with annual audit


• Assist with process improvements

• You are proactive:You independently initiate research into customer inquiries, accounting policies, and support files to create an environment of continuous improvement.


• You are a problem solver: In addition to being proactive, you also bring solutions to issues raised.


• You take ownership of the Order to Cash process: You know your customers, their contracts, and own the JAGGAER relationship

Position Requirements

What you will bring:

• B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• Minimum of 3 years of corporate or public accounting experience, CPA preferred


• Advanced Excel skills


• SaaS and/or Software revenue recognition experience preferred


• Familiarity with SalesForce, NetSuite or similar ERP systems


• Experience with frequent interaction to internal and external customers


• Ability to take ownership of areas of responsibility and drive improvement in efficiency and effectiveness


• Highly motivated individual looking for growth in SaaS environment.


• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
