Position Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for the effective implementation and operation of the documented quality program. Directs and coordinates activities concerned with development, implementation, application, maintenance and continual improvement of the Food Safety Management System.
Responsibilities:
Duties as outlined in the BOS Manual.
ISO Management Representative.
Function within the ISO/Team environment to ensure ISO/BOS compliance.
Food Safety Team Leader.
Responsible for training the Food Safety Team.
Oversee development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and take appropriate action to maintain its integrity.
Lead the development and implementation of Prerequisite Programs and HACCP Plan when applicable.
Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Initiate action for food safety issues.
Leader in GMP.
Maintaining current specifications.
Evaluating department personnel.
Disposition of held ware.
Review of data.
Perform capability studies.
Communicate with customers regarding quality issues.
Maintain a program for instrument calibration.
Conduct internal and external audits.
Supply agreed upon data and reports to customers and vendors.
Provide Quality training for department associates.
Member of Site Steering Team.
All safety rules are to be observed.
All other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Team Oriented.
Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have flexibility of job assignments.
Strong computer skills.
Solid mathematical background.
Knowledge of Statistics/SPC.
Bachelors Degree; and 3-5 years experience in a related field.
