As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Siloam Springs office, you will be responsible for the commercialization of a new Power Transmission product designs to ensure a successful product launch.

  • You'll participate in product life cycle management and gives technical support to commercial team, manufacturing, quality and supply chain management

  • This is an exciting opportunity because you will define and apply new technologies and innovations to enhance Gates products that drive value while meeting or exceeding customer and market needs.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Define and launch Gates products to meet market and customer needs, which includes application of new and existing technologies to improve product performance, cost and manufacturability.

  • Projects will require cross functional knowledge of product development, materials development, process development, test development, equipment development and/or technical customer support.

  • Create project timeline to meet timing objectives and communicate key milestones and start/end dates.

  • Commercialization of new products. Engineer is a member of the commercialization team and participates in APQP functions such as manufacturing feasibility trials, product verification testing, customer testing, cost analysis, process improvement and problem solving.









ABOUT YOU
Required:

  • 7 years' of progressive Product Development experience or 5 year of R&D experience in related product line.

  • Project and People management

  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

  • Strong technical and analytical skills in math and science with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Relocation is not provided

  • There is a 15-20% travel allotment for this role

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering or equivalent (Physics, Chemistry, Math)

  • Patent experience

  • DFSS skills including Design of Experiments (DOE), DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, Weibull and other statistical tools
