We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in ourPhysicians Medical Groupwhere you will be responsible for:What You Will Be Doing:
Collaborates with the program's medical director on all matters
Sets schedules for all department staff- physicians, coordinators, advanced practice clinicians
Assists in recruiting new team members
Facilitates department communications including staff meetings
Develops, collects, and reports efficiency metrics
Collaborates with the quality department on matters of quality performance, new quality initiatives, and other projects as needed
Collaborates with the Clinical Documentation Integrity department to ensure timely responses to queries
Collaborates with HIM to ensure medical records are completed in a timely fashion
Collaborates with coding to ensure timely response to coding queries
Manage coordinators and other staff including Kronos approvals and payroll approvals
Collaborates with billing office to ensure charges are entered and correct on a timely basis
Serves as program's liaison for all hospital departments including medical staff office, CDI, HIM, Coding, and others as needed
Additional duties include:
Directs dailyoperations of medical clinics
Monitors and recommends improvements for financial operation of medical clinic including billing, collections, revenue enhancements, and cost reductions
Directs set-up of new medical clinics as assigned
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies including diagnostic support services
Ensures physician credentialing process is timely and maintains current physician licensure and certification
Assists with the development of annual operating and capital budgets and maintain monthly comparison
Communicates with physicians and Clinic Managers frequently regarding customer
Provides leadership, direction and support of the department and employees through evaluation of products and services and analysis of operations, implementation of workload standards while ensuring compliance with UT Health Policies, Procedures, Mission and JCAHO requirements
Education:
MBA/MHA or BA degree and a minimum of 8 years of medical practice management
Experience:
Experience in MSO operations with start-up experience
Strong clinic management information systems knowledge and involvement in data conversion process
Prior managed care contracting and capitation plan understanding and experience
Capable of interacting with physicians and physician assistants
Knowledge of billing and collection process and systems
Knowledge of physician contract structure and negotiations
Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system; database and word processing skills required

Certification and Licensure:
No certification required but membership in Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) or the American College of Medical Practice Executive beneficial
