Engineering Maintenance Technician at Breckenridge Grand Vacations

The Grand Colorado on Peak 8 is seeking enthusiastic applicants to work with the engineering department. Beginner and advanced technicians are welcome to apply. Daily tasks include general and preventative maintenance work, guest room calls, and a variety of projects.   • Perform tasks relating to aquatics, carpentry, drywall, electric, HVAC, appliance repair, masonry, tile work, mechanical systems, painting & plumbing.

  • Show the abilities to perform these tasks in an unsupervised environment.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and owner/guest rooms. 

  • Manage and track maintenance requests. Utilize Company software when needed.

  • Perform pre-arrival checks of guest units, as needed and requested, to ensure everything is in working order.

  • Perform snow and ice removal, to ensure clear walkways, parking lots and easy access to The Grand Colorado.

  • Keep the shop, trash & storage area clean & organized. Assist with trash and recycling removal.

  • Assist with fire alarm incidents and building evacuations and handle fire alarm notifications.

  • Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed

  • Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal working order.

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), following OSHA guidelines, for specific job tasks which require safety protection.

  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays

  • Be comfortable working outside in extreme weather conditions

  • Job requires standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, reaching, climbing and good balance, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

  • Be the End of the Line” and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along whenever possible.

  • Follow up on any situation that is not fully resolved at the time of the initial request always giving consideration to what the guest or owner deems appropriate.

  • Strive to close the loop (alleviate or eliminate issues) on any situations that cannot be fully resolved.

  • Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts, departments and guests, always being helpful and courteous.

  • Adhere to Company appearance standards at all times.

  • Attend and participate in company-wide training sessions and department staff meetings.

  • 1 - 4 years: Maintenance, Engineering, and/or Construction experience are preferred.
