YOUR ROLE


  • The Manufacturing
    Operations Engineer will be responsible for process understanding and
    optimization, enhancing customer satisfaction, monitoring and improving quality
    while reducing costs and waste at Henkel's Salisbury, NC location.

  • Scale up of new and
    transferred products.

  • Lead effort to clarify
    manufacturing instructions to ensure repeatable operations

  • Set up manufacturing
    processes with input from R&D, maintenance, production, etc.

  • Monitor and improve
    quality of incoming raw materials and act as technical interface with suppliers

  • Perform engineering
    studies, i.e.: design of experiments

  • Minor capital project work which would include specifying,
    procuring, and commissioning new equipment

  • Support Safety,
    Health, and Environmental initiatives.

  • Participate
    in Root cause analysis, Verification of process changes and Continuous
    improvement initiatives.


YOUR SKILLS


  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is
    required.

  • 2+ years experience (will consider internships)
    in Chemical or related industry.

  • Understanding of process safety and chemical
    process design in batch operation is desired.

  • Knowledge of FMEA, Control plan, and PPAP
    desired but not required.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, NEC code,
    NFPA standards, PSM, and process controls preferred.
