ROLE REPONSIBILITIES

• Develops manufacturing processes including the design and manufacturing of tooling and equipment (automated and semi-automated).


• Monitors yield and productivity levels for assigned products.


• Identifies and executes manufacturing cost reduction measures.


• Analyzes work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and material flow to maximize efficiency


• Generates Bill of Materials and Routings and write detailed work instructions.


• Generates Document Change Notices (DCN) to change drawings and procedures.


• Conducts Design of Experiments.


• Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, quality, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.


• Coordinates activities to transfer manufacturing processes to other manufacturing locations.


• Aids in set up and pre-production runs for products in-house and at other manufacturing locations.


• Develops cost estimates for capital equipment expenditures.


• Performs failure analyses and documents resulting in written reports.


• Applies statistical methods to monitor manufacturing performance.
