We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist/Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Racine, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods)

  • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.

  • Ensure that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct; report monthly inventory/wholesale inventory levels, forecasts, and ensure monthly shipments are met.

  • Conducts analyses of inventory levels, coordinating with production and sales requirements.

  • May negotiate finished product sales price.

  • May coordinate trade show finished product (transportation and/or liquidation of equipment).

  • Other related duties as assigned.

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of inventory control experience; in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a high school diploma/GED and 10 or more years of inventory control experience will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Understanding of Bill of Materials

  • Inventory control experience from a cycle counting perspective (process, principles, fasteners and hardware, to physical single piece high value dollar materials such as castings, engines, roofs etc) within a 600,000 square foot manufacturing facility.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, specifically with v-lookup and pivot tables.

  • Familiarity with mainframe ERP computer systems.

  • Demonstrated experience working proactively to identify inventory control issues to address prior to impacting current production schedules.

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-up/follow-through skills.

  • Able to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and able to initiate, lead and deliver inventory process improvements to achieve safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery.

  • Prefer experience supervising others as position will have direct report.
