Part time 20 hours per
week




The Department of Psychiatry provides clinical care and
consultation for the mental health needs of patients in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock
system throughout the region. Services include inpatient psychiatry, outpatient
clinics and subspecialty consultation and care.  The Department
collaborates with providers across the medical specialties, and cares for
patients from young childhood through the geriatric ages. The Department is
currently seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker to conduct diagnostic
evaluations and deliver psychosocial interventions to patients 18-years and
older presenting with anxiety and related disorders, including
obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. The ideal
candidate would possess a strong knowledge base in evidence-based interventions
for this population, including training in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Other
duties, depending on background and interest, may include supervision of
graduate clinicians, working as a therapist or assessor in clinical trials, and
participating in scholarly activity such as writing peer-reviewed articles,
program development, and conducting workshops and trainings.
  




Responsibilities:





  1. Evaluates, diagnoses and
    provides treatment for patients presenting with anxiety disorders,
    obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.  


  2. Establishes achievable treatment goals with clients
    utilizing evidence-based psychosocial interventions (e.g., cognitive-behavioral
    therapy).


  3. Collaborates effectively with team members when
    appropriate.


  4. Documents appropriate objective, concise and pertinent
    clinical data in the medical record.


  5. Attends and participates in team meetings within the
    Anxiety Disorders Service aimed at collaborative program development and
    academic and/or research-focused initiatives.


  6. Supervises junior clinicians in training positions within
    the range of clinical expertise.


  7. Participates in institutional and community-focused
    trainings and learning programs.


  8. Performs other duties as required or
    assigned.









Minimum Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.

  • Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

    • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in New Hampshire
