Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician - 1,2,3 &4.

Inpatient, Retail, Hem/Onc & Specialty

An Associates degree is not required.

Previous pharmacy experience preferred but on the job training is available.
Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist performs routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
2. Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines.
3. Serves as a preceptor and assists with training pharmacy department staff.
4. Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
5. Inpatient Only:
o Prepares intravenous admixtures under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
o Prepares or compounds sterile and non-sterile compounds.
o Maintains the hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems.
6. Outpatient Only:
o Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist.
o Processes third party claims.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Certified Pharmacy Technician:
• Associates degree in a health or related field, with 1 year of pharmacy experience, or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
Registered Pharmacy Technician:
 High School Diploma required.
 2 years of customer service experience preferred
o Outpatient Pharmacy only
 Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required within 9 months from date of hire.
 Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
 Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
 Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
 Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required.
