Job Description:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follows pre-defined processes to perform month end financial close

  • Identifies the need and submits manual journal entries for revenue accruals, accounts payable accruals and inventory adjustments when appropriate;

  • Analyzes actual factory performance to budgets and factory performance metrics and obtains explanations for significant variances should they exist; and

  • Summarizes results and prepares reports to be used for monthly and quarterly updates provided to the joint venture board of directors;

  • Follows pre-defined processes to help ensure inventory is properly valued

  • Investigates factory variances between standard costs and actual costs (for both purchased and manufactured inventory);

  • Validates the periodic updates of standard costs to ensure new standards are systematically computed correctly;

  • Performs detail inventory turnover and aging analysis to identify and account for slow moving and obsolete product; and

  • Helps conduct periodic factory inventory counts to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Assists the Financial Planning and Analysis team to help prepare annual budgets and updated forecasts when required.


A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required. Zero to 2 years of relevant work experience is required.


Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs. Ability to analyze financial data and arrive at accurate conclusions. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms with all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality.


Light work - Tasks involve pushing/pulling, lifting and standing or using force equal to handling materials up to 20 pounds.
