The Pricing Strategist is responsible for developing and maintaining a well-constructed pricing / margin improvement strategy for Mohawk Flooring (Residential, Fashion, Resilient, Wood & Laminate, Commercial, Home, and exposure to Dal-Tile) designed to extract full value from brand equity and maximize both market penetration and margin dollar/return on sales and identify / address profit leakage opportunities. This position must integrate the pricing structure processes of multiple channels into one cohesive pricing structure that will minimize channel conflict and maximize margin opportunity. The Pricing Strategist coordinates activities needed to maintain an accurate read of market pricing / trends, and is responsible for driving consistent metrics and best practice processes for price improvement. This role will also lead the SAP Pricing implementation effort.
Helps to lead Mohawk to more effective pricing approaches to drive growth and profitability, including: developing optimal pricing strategies, implementing effective pricing processes, measuring and controlling price at the transactional level, and aligning technology to support pricing processes.
Develops and maintains productive relationships with client management. Collaborates to plan engagement objectives and a strategy that addresses risk and performance improvement. Manages expectations of service delivery.

Leads SAP Pricing Transformation across all businesses working with Sales, Product Management, Finance and Logistics
Provides in-depth training / collaboration with pricing strategy partners. Works with consultants and Executive Management to develop and implement global pricing best practices within Mohawk.
Provides in-depth training regarding new pricing software. Designs and implements new pricing systems
Documents current state information. Gathers and documents business strategies and needs. Evaluates new system functionality and aligns solutions (Gap Analysis)
Identifies and measures price leakage opportunities. Develops processes and procedures to correct price leakage. Drafts new policies and prepares training materials / training sessions.
Designs communication and training programs for all areas of Mohawk. (Change Management) Leads training and communication sessions throughout various stages of implementation.
Establishes and maintains contact with all areas and levels of the Mohawk organization. (Executive Management, Department leaders, Sales force, professional and support staffs)
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field with 7 or more years of directly related professional experience which includes over 3 years of previous supervisory or lead responsibilities experience.
Relevant advanced degree is preferred.
SAP experience required.
Primary skillset: Pricing and Revenue
Required experience includes pricing to regulatory requirements for services, both transactional orders and strategic contracts. Knowledge of financial measurement principles such as earned value, scheduling, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV), and Payback are required. Successful candidates will have a familiarity with Government Cost Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
Knowledge of all contract types including Firm-Fixed-Priced (FFP), Cost Plus, and Time & Material (T&M).
