Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Investment Accountant for their Boston, NY Office.

Essential Functions:

• Supports the investment management group and other business units in the area of investment operations, accounting, audit, and reporting

Operations:

• Works with business units to drive process improvement through identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and procedures


• Acts as a liaison between auditors, broker-dealers, custodians, vendors, and other business units to better define processes and/or generate, update and create more efficient services


• Influences department processes and procedures


• Ensures execution of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual investment reporting tasks


• Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and established policies and procedures


• Negotiates, persuades and gains consensus from a cross functional team

Reporting:

• Provides senior level managerial and regulatory reports regarding investment portfolio


• Works with internal and external auditors concerning explanations of process and the CAMRA system as well as satisfying audit information requests and CAMRA report writing


• Manages a team of Investment Accountants to perform daily, monthly and annual tasks


• Sets objectives for project goals and monitors project to achieve those goals

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or combination of equivalent experience


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment accounting or portfolio reporting role(s)


• Detailed knowledge and experience with an investment accounting system is required (CAMRA system experience is a strong plus)


• Knowledge of security attributes and accounting methodologies for investment portfolios


• Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, solve problems and meet deadlines


• Professional level written and oral communication skills


• Advanced MS Office skills required, specifically Excel
