RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Senior Controller/Director of Finance in Coral Springs, FL.

Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, seasoned, hands-on Senior Controller/Director of Finance with experience in the construction industry, as well as inventory management, to build a team and lead the accounting/financial department, as part of a very rapidly growing company that offers an extremely rewarding work environment.

Controller/Director of Finance:
Responsibilities:

• Leading the financial department of the business, reporting directly to the owners of the company


• Prepare and review the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including financial statements, general ledger analysis and reconciliations


• Manage year end audit process, including running the year so audit can be finished early in the following year


• Compile, prepare and analyze other financial reports including budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements


• Provide key sales insights, sales commission planning, bank financing, tax planning, sales tax, inventory, depreciation.


• Oversee A/P and A/R functions & supervise, lead and mentor accounting staff


• Must be able to work -vertically- - at senior level to support Executive team with strategic & financial analysis - and to be able to dive in to really understand the underlying business and its accounting


• Establish excellent processes in day-to-day accounting and create new functions (e.g., job close out process) to support better business decisions


• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities - particularly any legacy errors from 10X revenue growth in the last year


• Perform special accounting projects as requested by the Executive team

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years in controller/CFO role; 15+ years of work experience in accounting/finance


• Substantial experience in the construction industry (5+ years) is preferred


• Experience in manufacturing, inventory, and distribution


• Experience working with multiple ERP systems - ideally leading one or more ERP migrations


• Able to be a -Jack of all Trades-


• Hands-on and willing to "roll up their sleeves" as the company continues to rapidly grow and diversify
