Job Description:

Under the direction of the of the Head of SAG Loan Administration Support, the Loan Admin provides support to multiple relationship managers/lenders within the Special Assets Group. This support includes facilitating loan closings, work outs and criticized asset resolution, as well as post-closing follow up to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements. Working directly with Portfolio Managers, Special Assets Group Portfolio Managers and borrowers to solve problems and provide superior customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works specifically with Portfolio Managers, Special Assets Group Portfolio Managers on complex loan restructures and work outs for commercial loans and assists them in managing criticized assets.
  • Analyzes title insurance commitment reports including title exceptions
  • Responsible for ordering 3rd party reports and due diligence required for renewals, loan restructures, workouts and for onboarding of loans transferred into SAG.
  • Ensures all closing conditions are met, loans are closed within time frames and booked as approved.
  • Ensures all approved terms of the loan/restructure/workout are incorporated in the loan documents.
  • Manages and monitors loans on an ongoing, day-to-day, and transactional basis working in close partnership with Portfolio Managers. Processing loan fees, loan payments, payment of past due taxes, monitoring of insurance and other maintenance items.
  • Acts as liaison with, attorneys, for loans in default, obtaining documents and preparing judgment figures per attorney requests.
  • Works with Loan Services to ensure FIS is properly coded in response to Legal Notices for foreclosure and Bankruptcy.
  • Review and monitor the Department Mailbox and research and respond to Legal Notices regarding SAG loans.
  • Provides information so that loans may be boarded on the proper servicing system and ensures all loan coding is correct.
  • Monitors pre-and post-closing tasks.
  • Maintain files with sufficient documentation for third-party review; prepares files for timely audits.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities -- knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant loan administration and real estate lending experience.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic loan administration experience
  • Knowledge of borrower based lending helpful.
  • Knowledge of commercial finance, documentation, accounting and data systems.
  • Technical expertise in loan closing and administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Knowledge of nCino, I-Lien and FIS a plus
