Job Description:

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the Waste Tracking Coordinators, Security and Scheduling departments. Provides technical support to customers and as well as the facility operations. Provides direction to the operations staff as well as administrative support to achieve client's goals in determining most cost effective methods in delivering quality services at a high level of satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review preliminary proposals and quotes determined by the specifications to present to clients. Conducts site tours and audits.
  • Responsible for scheduling and supporting witness burns, as well as rolling out new product lines.
  • Manage the scheduling of shipments into the facility.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining a price management and price exception program for the facility.
  • Contact customers / disposal facilities on an as needed basis regarding specific waste related requirements, obtaining additional information, and job satisfaction and quality.
  • Continuously review and track profitability and provide background information for future forecasting to include value, profiles, and associated costs.
  • Responsible for auditing invoices for billing accuracies and responding to billing issues.
  • Review, identify and track transportation, lab analysis and vendor costs by purchase orders to insure accuracy of billing invoices.
  • Oversee new waste profiles with respect to customer preference, technology, cost and facility approval to promote productivity and profitability. Evaluate waste streams for possible inclusion under generic approvals.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of disposal capabilities and WAP requirements for sites, with the ability to complete final approval
  • Communicate with operations, environmental departments, and other branches regularly regarding acceptance of material from the standpoint of permits, operations, and safety, and keep technical staff updated on any changes in acceptance conditions
  • Receive and process requests for profile modifications efficiently and accurately. Contact internal and external customers to resolve issues during the modification process. Update AS400 and approval records to properly document modification requests
  • Provide technical assistance to approval chemists, approval support staff, and sales and customer service on matters such as site acceptability of waste streams, discrepancy resolution, and site permit requirements


  • Bachelors of Science in Chemistry or related discipline or equivalent work experience required
  • 5 to 8 years of hazardous waste or related field experience preferred
  • 3 years in an analytical and problem-solving capacity required
  • 40 hr HAZWOPER Certification
  • Valid Drivers Licenses

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge in environmental technologies
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding hazardous waste management (i.e. RCRA,TSCA, DOT, and LDR regulations)
  • Computer proficient
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong customer orientation
