We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Distribution team in San Bernardino, CA
!





As the Operations Manager, you will lead the distribution team. Ona day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for driving safety, quality, distribution, associate development, and continuous improvement activities across the distribution facility. If you enjoy leading in a fast-paced, high energy distribution environment with the ability to develop and drive strategic improvement initiatives with an engaged team, then you will fit in well at this location.




What you'll do in this role:




  • Oversee the distribution facility in partnership with the Distribution Manager.




  • Directly lead a team of up to 6 salaried employees and indirectly, up to 200 hourly employees (contingent and full time) across multiple shifts and leads.




  • Indirectly oversee contingent employees while working closely with the supervisor and staffing agencies to ensure labor needs are met.




  • Provide leadership direction and support to the facility through participation on the facility leadership team and by positively interfacing with distribution support teams such as Safety, Quality, Process, Planning, and Maintenance.




  • Ensure a best-in-class Safety, Environmental, and Health culture by leading by example and adhering to and improving upon existing processes and programs.




  • In partnership with Human Resources, develop associate recognition, succession, and training programs. Establish departmental expectations and drive accountability.




  • Analyze and improve upon key distribution metrics that will impact distribution performance and efficiencies. Drive process improvements to advance associate safety, improve customer satisfaction, control costs and reduce waste.




  • Own the department budget, including labor utilization, overtime, and material cost variances.




  • Support the launch of new improvements, and capital projects by aligning with the onsite leadership, corporate partners, and coordinating with internal departments to provide input, resources, and collaboration.






What you'll need to be successful:




  • General computer skills are required (Microsoft Apps, Excel/Data Analysis, Google Apps, etc.)




  • Product knowledge and picking process experience required.






  • Ability to float between shifts to conduct effective training is required, this will include weekends as needed.




  • PIT experience and PIT training strongly preferred.




  • Strong problem solving skills preferred.




  • Knowledge of EHS processes and procedures strongly preferred.




  • SAP and/or WMS experience required.




  • Operating financial experience preferred.




  • Inventory Management knowledge preferred.




  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a supervisor in a distribution center environment.




  • Manager experience prefered.




  • Strong attention to details, highly organized, good communication.




  • Ability to effectively create/update related SOPs as required.




  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment.




  • Attend virtual/physical meetings as required.




  • High energy level and be self-motivated.
