The Logistics Technical Planner is responsible for optimizing the design and engineering of material flow including containers, racks, material presentation, and movement. The Logistics Technical Planner will optimize logistic networks to reduce transportation, lead time, and inventory cost. Lead, train and implement World Class Manufacturing's Logistics 7 Step process. Manage strategic planning and project alignment, and working closely with Production Control Manager to establish future state objectives. Coordinate the 7-Step Evolution of Logistics World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives and leads activities. Identify non value added activities and references against logistics cost deployment to establish appropriate planning of objectives. Provide consultation on internal logistics to ensure proper project focus and principle methods are being implemented. Align target timing and pace of WCM goals. Lead training initiatives as required and monitor project activities, reporting changes and or necessary adjustments with the PC Manager.
