Hours: 1 st shift 8am-5pm


JOB TITLE: Talent Acquisition and Development Coordinator
BACK-UP: Talent Acquisition Manager
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager of Organization and Talent Development
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will provide tactical support to the Talent Acquisition Manager and coordinate various hiring initiatives across the company network.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate and deploy University Relations recruiting initiatives to help build a talent pipeline for Great Lakes Cheese.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, vocational schools, non-profits, and other organizations.
  • Develop and facilitate curriculum and co-lead the Great Lakes Cheese Intern Association program.
  • Create e-learning programs as well as in-person events for emerging talent as well as succession event.
  • Assess, review and select candidate resumes for hourly and salary requisitions while processing candidate movement in the applicant tracking system.
  • Coordinate and assess phone-screening applicants for full-cycle positions
  • Event creation, coordination and implementation based on strategic alignment for talent or organization development.
  • Collaborate with GLC leaders on GLC ambassador/recruiting events as needed.
  • Responsible for fostering and maintaining an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process of a candidate.
  • Assist with creating and posting job ads and recruitment marketing campaigns across the company network for emerging talent.
  • Identifies candidates including a diverse slate to interview / assess.
  • Assist Talent Management Team with recruiting and onboarding projects as appropriate.
  • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
  • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.


  • REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and or Event Planning experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or Hospitality a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with university relations or college recruiting/coordination efforts.
  • Experience supporting talent acquisition efforts in a corporate or manufacturing environment for high volume production/hourly positions.
  • Experience planning and coordinating large scale hiring events.
  • Experience working in a CRM or Applicant Tracking System (Success Factors preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage time appropriately.

  • WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed in an office setting.
  • Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
